Root UID 10115 (Where is UID definition file located?)

On CM7 (nightly 51, I think), I noticed that my battery was draining without being used (30% in 3 hours), and I opened Spare Parts, which actually works in CM7 as compared to stock GB. (Stupid Motorola, Yay CM7!)

It said under Partial Wake that UID 10115 had a partial wake lock and wouldn't allow my phone to "deep sleep", basically.

I've searched and can't find where on the phone it is that lists what the UID are. I know that this one is a program, and I think it was using or accessing GPS (because I turned GPS off and have only dropped 10% in the last 3 hours, though the GPS symbol never showed it was being used), but does anyone know where in our system files we can find what UID is assigned to which .apk or app? I saw mention of /system/etc/permissions, but couldn't find anything in there...

if gps is on isnt it constantly in use?

i hate doing this
did you google search for it?
there might be a site that will locate the actual files for it so you know how to navigate to it using root explorer

the GPS is NOT in constant use if it is on - it's only used if it is accessed by a program. it works differently than the wifi or 3G radio...

Also, I've extensively searched Google - FWIW, I'm attaching a list of UIDs below that I have found, but for 10000 and on, it's app dependent...

you can install an app called "Android System Info" and go through the running tasks 1 by 1 until you find whatever is listed as 10115...

back on Froyo when Battery History actually worked i used that in conjunction with Android System Info to track down a few apps that were really causing me problems...

interesting info: "The data for each app has to be 'owned' by the UID the app runs as, and additionally the app itself (.apk file) has to be that same UID. Unlike big UNIX systems, these IDs are stored in the packages.xml file in /data/system"

this file doesn't exist in my root directory...

I did, however, run the fix_permissions command in Terminal Emulator, just to see if it helps.

Figured it out, finally. It was Handcent SMS. Deleted.
