Root Ultimate Droid 8 for Incredible

To those having issues getting it started, try clearing your dalvik cache. I cleared Everything when I first flashed the rom, including the dalvik cache. I also skipped the initial setup because I hate. When the market automatically downloads apps. Try this first if you're going to flash it again.

Also after running it all day yesterday overclocked I decided to throttle it back to 998 because I was getting a few random browser closings. This issue is not specific to this rom . I was getting it with pretty much all overclocked kernels every once and a while.
I'm running the kernel in interactive mode and do not see a noticeable drop in performance.

+2 cause I agree with both statements. ;)

Never had a MotoDroid, nor used Sapphire, but I'm salivating over Ruby's release. Which should be today sometime from what Sniffle said over on droidforums.net.

I haven't tried this ROM myself either, mostly because I believe you should give credit where credit is due. (anyone who owned a Droid and flashed this ROM should know what I'm talking about)

+1 Followed most of what went on and it's disappointing.
 
I tried rom but i couldnt get Rom manager or Titanium to open up. Both FCd repeatedly. I wiped cache, data and dalvik cache as well too..
 
If this is for the incredible, why is it listed under the motorola droid section and not the incredible section?

Either way, I'm going to give this a shot and see how it works out.

I'll report back with the results.
 
Care to link me to the download then? I have registered and been through the entire site twice and haven't seen it. Under incredible new releases, it is blank.
 
Ok..Here is the only link I have found for UD 8 for the Dinc. Ultimate Droid 8.0 For Incredible Only - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum

I tested the rom out and I have to say, I still like Froyo better. I don't like the widgets and icons on UD 8, and I hate not having a full screen weather widget.

There are also a few bugs that need to be worked out with the rom. Random reboots and such.

As far as the overall look of it goes, I will give it an 8/10. Functionality 8/10. Customization: 5/10

This actually made me laugh out loud, thanks a lot.

You were just joking right? You do know it is Android 2.2 (AKA: FroYo) right? You do know that the "full screen weather" is part of Sense UI right? You know that any Vanilla ROM will not have the Sense UI stuff and you have to go out and find widgets that work for you and give you information and look you want.

It was nice of you to give it an 8/10 (I probably wouldnt have went that high on a Vanilla Rom) 5/10 on customization though wow just wow if any Rom would deserve a 11/10 for customization it would be the Ultimate Droid series. They have more options and other stuff then any other ROMs I have ever seen.
 
IMO, no rom has yet to beat the Sense UI. I'd like to see a dev make something better than sense and I would gladly pay for it.
