Root Ultimate Droid 8 for Incredible

I read the details for the rom and it seems that the rom is the exact same as my phone currently stands. Except for the transparent pulldown menu.

So I won't even bother with it. Thanks anyways.

If you are running the stock rom the Virtous Rom along with other 2.2 roms are generally snappier than the stock because of the way they are put together and partly because of bloatware removed.
The Virtous rom is customizable (just as other roms are), what you saw is just how the original rom looks,it up to you to download themes for it. I recommend the "incredible revolution" theme. http://androidforums.com/incredible-roms/168291-theme-incredble-revolution-based-off-manup456s.html
You can also easily change the lock screen and hide certain icons on your notification bar such as the GPS icon, alarm clock icon, the whole clock, etc.

+1 On Revolution Theme . I hated Sense just didn't like it. Virtuous 2.7 with Revolution is amazingly smooth and looks awesome.
It's not anywhere near as fast as some of the AOSP ROMS or even Senseless ROMS but it's a great all around performer.

I like sense. You don't. Fine, that's your opinion. That's why we have options. Don't just say sense=gay, tell us what is gay about it. I want some specifics. If it is nothing more than "I don't like the look and/or feel of it," then that's pretty subjective. The incredible with many vanilla ROMs is faster in some ways. So what? The phone is still very fast and fluid with sense.

That's because the Revelation ROM is Sense. it's just a modified launcher, which is incredibly hard to do, he just uses sexy Rosie. Still sense.

Yeah I know it's sense, I'm saying the theme is amzing and Virtuous is now my everyday ROM , I just didn't word it correctly. It's pretty early still

Been using SR 3.0 Vanilla, which is sense based, and liking it. But I'm always willing to try another. Any reason you like this better than SR?

I also really liked SR 3.0 Vanilla, but I thought I'd give this a try and flashed it along with the Revolution Theme , and also some other theme mods. It's really jsut a smooth, good looking rom . Everything works perfectly but mainly I just really liked the themes and being able to use some of the Sense widgets is also nice

Got it loaded now, looks good so far. Forgot how sense looks. Put it through it's paces tomorrow.

Edit: Very nice customizations available, great battery life so far. I usually try it with a non bumped battery for the first few hours and then throw in my bumped for the rest of the day. I simply do not see it dropping like usual. Has to be that enhanced kernel.

Did you put the Revolution Theme on it ? that's what really has me sold on this ROM

Yes, I did. Rev theme is awesome and then I removed some of the junk I've been trying to get rid of with the other download from Rom Manager. Really liking this as the day wears on.
