Root Unable to root, due to HBoot version?

I've been searching all night for a way to get this to work:

Software Information:
Version: 2.3.3
Baseband: 2.15.00.07.28
Kernel: 2.6.35.10-gaa602b7
Build: 4.12.651.1 CL41771
Software#: 4.12.651.1
PRI: 1.77_003
PRL: 60683

Bootloader gives the following:
SUPERSONIC EVT2-3 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.93.0000
TOUCH PANEL-ATMELC03_16ac
RADIO-2.15.00.07.28
Jul 23 2010, 16:41:47

I've got CWM Recovery v3.0.0.5, I've already tried wiping the dalvik cache and cache, system wipe option in settings from sense, reformatted my sdcard, etc. I know my hboot may be the problem, but I'm not sure how to go about updating it to 2.15/2.16 like most common EVO's. I've searched many forums and couldn't find anything on this. My end goal is to get this flashed to Metro PCS, it's currently on Sprint.

Any suggestions as to where I should start?

EDIT: I've tried Revolutionary, my hboot isn't supported.
I also have tried unrevoked^3, gives "ERROR: Unable to get root. Is your firmware too new?" every time.

Welcome to AF!!
My guess would have to be, you will have to run an ruu to update your hboot and I would also surmise this is what you need.

Dev-Host - PC36IMG_SuperSonic_GB_Sprint_WWE_4.54.651.1_Radio_2.15.00.0808_NV_2.15_release_220182_signed.zip - The Ultimate Free File Hosting / File Sharing Service

However, don't quote me on that but after running that you should be able to root just fine.
It will wipe your phone so backup needed stuff.
I just need confirmation on that file before you do it. k?

Thanks for the welcome! :)
So far so good as far as the download link.

Anything I should know before I go ahead with flash?
Just that it will wipe your data, then you will have to root it but like I said, I am not 100% sure that is the correct file...I think it will work but.....
Also that is flashed in bootloader....rename it to PC36IMG.zip--and put on root (top level) of sd card, not in any folder....:)

Sorry was doing this in class, anywho:
It was the right PC36IMG file. A while back I had my phone bricked at one point, installed what worked for now, and hadn't messed with it since. Not sure what I did to it back then to get CWM on an s-on system, to be honest.

Anyway, I've got 2.16* HBOOT now, and I'm going to give Revolutionary another shot to see if it works this time.
I'll update if any problems occur, or if all goes smoothly.

Thanks again!!!!
