Im a UK vodafone Desire HD user but iv still not got the upgrades to gingerbread or sense 3.0. Iv tried the settings and search for upgrades now thing but keep getting told my phone is up to date.

Is there another way?

Does the hack kit work properly with the 3.12.405.1 S/W version? I know it will detect but it prompts you to download a Sense 2.1 RUU.

Considered it I fear it'll drain the hell out of my battery though and will need it to keep me going through the next 5 hours of pain! (AKA work)

Yep, unbranded on Orange UK, and I've just received the update. At first glance it looks fine with no data lost and no obvious problems.

A couple of things: I had to replace a couple of HTC widgets that got lost somewhere, and had to delete and sign back into the accounts I use on the Friendstream widget (Flickr and Twitter) as it needs to ask again for permission for third-party access to these accounts. But this is to be expected and didn't cause any problems.

Just downloaded and installed my update - unbranded Orange. Weirdly, it only found it when I turned wifi off.

Only thing "wrong" so far is that I seem to have lost my favourite "carbon" wallpaper. (Yes, I'm a bit of a minimalist....) It was preserved during the update, but after fiddling around and trying some of the others, I now can't seem to find it again. Odd.

Got my update today on my sim free and am very pleased so far. No Android films but it does have HTC Watch
