Uninstalling apps easily...

Perhaps there is a thread already about this but I discovered today that if you long press on an app and then drag it down to the trash can and then hold it on the trash can for a few seconds a text pops up telling you to let go to uninstall.

I have uninstaller, but this is a really handy quick way to uninstall a single app. Hope it helps!

Edit: This applies only to Launcher Pro, apparently it does not work with stock as stated by the below posters. Sorry about the confusion.

Just tried it, just makes it a little easier to uninstall an app you don't want anymore.

You must be using a different launcher, because my stock Droid X does not do that. But I know ADW launcher does...I am betting Launcher Pro does as well.

Yes, this is with Launcher Pro, I haven't tried it in the stock launcher. Sorry if I didn't clarify that!

I find when I do this the app is uninstalled, but its icon still shows up in the app drawer. The icon is not removed until I do a power cycle.
