Root Universal Androot???

I downloaded universal androot and rooted my phone. I then immediately un-rooted my phone and rebooted.

Now I can't delete the superuser permissions app from my app drawer?? Plus I cant delete universal androot?? Please help.

Plus since I un-rooted will I receive the OTA update to 2.2??

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Im just holding down on the app in the app drawer till it turns red and then trying to pull down to the trash.

I can do this but they dont leave.

When i run uninstaller app both of these are not populated....

Thanks for any advice.

Why unroot? If you rooted with universalandroot, you should be ready for 2.2.

There's no downside to being rooted, unless you need to return the phone.

that doesn't uninstall it
do
menu->applications->manage applications->universalandroot/superuser->uninstall

To uninstall an app, go to settings... applications... manage applications and find it there. Uninstall will be an option after you open it there.

Im just a little confused. If i select root and keep it that way. What is my next step??

Do I some how make a back up?? If so how do I do this?

Do i install 2.2?? If so, how??

thanks...

There are several programs that require root, like some backup programs, screen shot pgms and one I like, quick boot.

2.2 should be here in a couple weeks. Why install a buggy, preliminary version when the official one will be here soon? It's a LOT harder to uninstall the leaked 2.2 version than it is to install it.

I did the above, but superuser permissions is still populated in my app drawer???

Universal Androot is gone.

Thanks...

Did you try restarting the phone? It might be gone, but the app drawer hasn't been refreshed.

If you can't get rid of superuser, it's no big deal, won't hurt anything.

ALright cool.

Well thanks for the advice.

Since I clicked un-root and deleted universal androot, I will then expect the official 2.2 update.

I will just forget that superuser permissions is in the drawer.

If i re-install universal androot and re-root,

Can I use root explorer and delete superuser permissions from /system/app or is their no point??

yes that will work...point, probably not
BTW you are a loser for wanting the OTA:p

have a Kyocera Zio unit that has been locked due to too many unsuccessful pattern attempts. The unit did not come with a manual and Kyocera reps will not provide any or do not know how 2 reset it I need to factory reset it, does anyone know how this can be done?

Alright now I re-rooted through universal.

Now if I download rom managier and flash clockwork. Will this give me the boot strap I keep hearing about?

Also after flashing can I install 2.2 from rom manager?

I'm also waiting for the OTA.

I see no reason to install an buggy, interim build of Froyo. I can't image it like a computer hard drive and am busy enough where I don't need to install it for something to do. I've installed enough beta Windows installs (several hundred) so it's no big thrill. I've got other toys I can play with if I'm that bored. :D

Will I be able to make back up's through rom manager?? after installing bootstrap?

Also can you download all roms in rom manager or are most just for the original droid?

Thanks,
