Help unlock screen

I have a galaxy note 3 with a pin to unlock screen. How do we get rid of pin requirement and just get back to screen swipe. Verizon told me I would have to do a factory reset. Don't want to do that

You should be able to go into your settings, security, and tap screen unlock to change it.

No that doesn't work.i went into lock screen , entered my pin, but the screen to remove is grayed out

Was the phone issued to you by your employer?

Install an app called android lost and unlock it remotely, it gets grayed out when Google gets a ping to lock the device which grays out the option for no lockscreen for security purposes

Android lost gives me the feeling that I want to wipe my phone. That's exactly what I don't want to do

If you are using your phone with work email exchange, some administrators disable the ability to remove pin.
