Help Unlock Wildfire?

I'm waiting on MU to get back to me but, there a bit long winded, so perhaps some one here can help.

Ive put in an 02 chip, as opposed to the correct on, Vodafone, but I cant get to menu, any one else had this problem.

I'm sick to death of MU.
I've been waiting all day for a reply to my email to them for help unlocking my phone.
I have just received a reply (18.50 hours) from them.
And the info sent still will not get me unlocked.
I've asked for my money to be returned.
Very very disappointed to say the leased.

I'll be going with the Vodafone unlock now, should have done that in the first please me thinks.

On there home page it states
Part 1: Choose the unlock tool

depending on which network your HTC Wildfire is locked to
These tools work with all networks
Dropdown: All Networks

This is highly miss leading as opposed to there t&c written in small print down the right hand side.

The right thing to do would be to provide a refund besides making an opportune euro from mis-leading claims.

I would advise using HTC SIM Unlock | Unlock ANY HTC phone with our genuine HTC unlock codes. Money Back Guarantee!, very easy to deal with.

As mentioned in our message to you, you should be entering the 8 digit unlock code we sent you. You have said you're trying to enter a 15 digit unlock code and it won't fit, but we have only sent you one 8 digit code.

Please do try that and perhaps let the people on this forum know when you get your phone unlocked.

Not true, I was sent a 15 digit code first.
Correct code sent after I kicked up a fuss.

Ordep, whats this Vodafone unlock you mentioned above?

Vodafone unlock is the most obvious, the safest and the cheapest way of unlocking your Wildfire. Just go into any Voda store, tell them you want the unlock code and they'll order it for you. Mine took 2 weeks so if you want it straight away tough luck, if you're patient and want to get it unlocked PROPERLY go to Voda and then wait 2 weeks. Some people have paid

Mate I hope you get your money back from them. If not get on as many forums as possible so word gets round not to use them.

I had my code within 30min of ordering from HTCsimUnlock.com.

I tried this company, complete bunch of scammers, I paid my money, requested code, came back said i could pay another 15 pounds for a so called 'deep search' (absolute crap!!) I said just refund it, didnt hear anything back from them, then I emailed, no response, a week later I get an email with an unlock code attached.... which is useless to me, i went to another online company that got it for me in 5min, so email back saying i had requested a refund, no response.... so I have advised mastercard they are scamming people and getting a charge back from my bank.

STAY AWAY FROM HTCsimUnlock.com - -> SCAM!!:mad:

After reading all the messages I have decided to use mobileunlocked.co.uk do generated the unlock code for my HTC wildfire.

After filling in all the required information I am currently in a proceed of waiting for the email containing the code to arrive. Few hours passed and so far nothing.

Checking the order status online and it is stating "Delivery Time: 18 to 24 hours from order time". A bit disappointed but guess I just have to wait.

Will keep everyone posted how it goes on.

Just to update the above post.

Finally got the unlock code after 22hours and it seems to work fine.

Apart from lack of information in the site pre payment mentioned that in average takes between 18 to 24 hours to perform a code search I have no complains about mobileunlocked.co.uk.

hi , just been on mobilesunlocked.co.uk ... i completed payment and it took me back to the first payment screen with the following message:
10536:Your payment can't be processed since it appears to have been already paid.

hopefully its registered my payment and i'll see how long it now takes to get my code.

okay - checked my email, can confirm its been received. logged in on the site with my order ID and delivery time says:

"Type of Unlock: HTC Factory Code (Supernew Records)
Delivery Time: 5 to 25 minutes from order time"

so i'll give it half hour and see if i got anything.

my bro just said to me i was a gimp to pay for something i'm unsure about. feeling a bit stupid , i logged back into MU website :

"Status: Delivered
Completion Date: 2010-12-04 11:14:12
Unlock Code: ********"

tried it out straight away, phone unlocked to O2 network. very happy with the serive. other websites show it to be cheaper to unlock but i went with these guys purely by reading this thread. thanks MU
