Help Unlock Wildfire?

Somebody asked about World Unlock - it's looking at the moment as though it's a scam. Currently three days on from ordering with a 24hour response. Hmm...

Ha! World Unlock - sorry we can't unlock your phone, we'll give you a refund (sometime). Good scam, get a load of money in from punters, send a couple of automated emails, eventually give them their money back. Meanwhile you hold on to a substantial float of dosh.

Oops! BIG apologies to WorldUnlock - they've refunded my money already. Pretty much implies it's not a scam. Sorry, guys

thinking of buying this phone of a person who got it as a upgrade on the 3 network,
will it be easy to get it to work with my o2 simplicity sim, I,m new here guys so any help would be gr8 :)

Hi Guys

i bought the htc wildfire on vodafone on monday and i was wondering if i bought a code will it work with me just buying the fone or does that not matter?

I can see mixed reviews in this thread for HTCSimUnlock.com, but my experience was just awful.
Paid for an unlock code for HTC Wildfire (Vodafone, UK) and the result was 'Code not found'. And I could not find the refund of my payment as well nor their email confirming a refund as it was stated. I have written multiple emails to their Salessupport email id asking for an update and no replies as you would expect. Please note that they dont give a phone no. for you to call. Just mail them and pray that they would reply :(
Not sure if it really works for some phones, but if it doesn't, I guess your money is gone..

sorry to interrupt lol was considering buying a htc wildfire from carphone warehouse in the next half an hour after doing my revision. have spoken to people with htc's who have open/unlocked phones. just wondering if i ordered a PAYG htc with a vodafone sim (as its cheaper) that there would defo be no problems in just firing my current 02 sim in, instead of paying an extra 60 quid for just an 02 sim?

Tried HTCSimUnlock. Code not found. Awaiting refund. Now trying that eBay guy as recommended by RyanRaven.

I ordered my code seven days ago - none of the companies here could find one but left Mobile Unlocked to continue trying each day. I received the phone as an upgrade on Orange but it's now been a week and there's still no news. Anyone know roughly how long I could be waiting for a code with a brand new handset?

Also, used HTCSimUnlock. They couldn't find a code, I asked for a refund which they emailed to say they had provided, but Paypal said otherwise. So I have now lodged a dispute with Paypal. So in my experience, they seem to be crooks!

i had my code after half hour with this guy if you ask him nicely just to send you the unlock code and when it works leave positive feedback. got mine for

well since yours is a new phone it can take a while i think when the phone it bought the cashier scans the IMEI then it goes into the system that its in use then HTC work on the unlock code to add to the data base buy who knows i dont work for them lolz
hope you get it unlocked soon :-)

Guys, this is a SCAM, you will not see your money back!!! I lost my money. People that say this works are in fact THEM, the SCAMERS. Just stay away!

Sorry to hear that! Which one did you use?

I have posted a message on the forum about my experiences and though some were undoubtedly dodgy, I was able to recover all my money and in the end MobileUnlocked.co.uk provided me with not only great service but the correct unlock code.

Two of them.
One was mobile unlocked, and the other htcsimunlock, owned by Richard Cappin.
These guys are unbeleivalbly cruel, they will do anything to rip you off.

Just avoid them.
