I think you shouldn't use flashify on first run as you are messing with the /dev/block partitions try using fastboot, check the third post in this website for further information : http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-l90/general/ref-lg-l70-info-t2807429.
You forgot aboot.bin
Thanks :) just flashed the supplied twrp img with flashify and it came up with a purple screen and a error message. Ill post a pic later
He forgot aboot.bin

Use the third post on this website to solve the issue "http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-l90/general/ref-lg-l70-info-t2807429.". And you shouldn't have used flashify I mentioned fastboot (but I forgot about the aboot.bin before). Anyways can you boot to phone homescreen at the moment and also fastboot mode.
ok o got CMW becuase its the only one i got working and i dont mind manually installing OTA updates. currently backing up everythink needed and making a nandroid backup too. so what partitions do i need to wipe before installing? thanks

Now you can use fastboot mode ("fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" change downloaded recovery to recovery.img) to flash the newest twrp, I think its a must have before installing this ROM or you might have some problems with the rom. I am also using flashify now and its working. I think you had the aboot.bin problem, sorry for that. I had all this bookmarked in my browser and its really messed up with my other several rooted device history.

Cheers, its good that your recovery is working now.

You will have to be quick, and I recommended you to change your recovery to the newest twrp as I told you before.

what do you mena by i have to be quick
1. Turn off phone completely by removing battery and wait for 10 secs or long.
2. While holding volume up plug phone using usb cable to computer, You will see fastboot mode.
3. Then "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img". The TWRP recovery from this website.
4. Then turn off phone again. Press Volume up + Power together as soon as you see the LG Boot screen leave the two buttons and press immediately again. Select Yes until you reach recovery.

ok then. So when i flash TWRP will it be able to restore nandroid backups made with CWM? are you shure its the CWM fault its not getting past "installing update". if not it could be the very new updated rom form less than 12 hrs ago? Thanks
If it doesn't work flash back to CWM and restore your nandroid.
