Root Unrevoked for Incredible (Recovery reflash tool/Easy root method)

I know root will enable access to more root exclusive apps, but I'm waiting on a stable froyo port, otherwise, i'm not that interested in rooting. Any news on a froyo port?

so you're saying there is a stable froyo port? link please

Link

It's not perfect, but it is stable and usable. Can't use MMS, Camera, GPS, or BT. But other than that, it is "stable" (doesn't crash)

Edit: GPS works, Bluetooth works, MMS works with a fix. Looks like camera is still out.

Newbie to Android question. Can root with the revoked method from my phone or do download on the computer first like a BB. Thanks for your help on this.

If you need to ask that question, then you probably shouldn't be doing it...I'm definately am not an expert or anything...but I did spend plenty of time reading the root section of this forum to figure out what I should be doing...you should do the same...

You just download it to your computer, enable USB debugging on your phone, and run the Unrevoked V3 tool; it does the rest!

So what do I actually need to do to root this thing?

I downloaded the files from unrevoked.com website. Do i just plug my phone in while on debugging mode and click on the unrevoked flash icon and let it do it's thing or do I need to install anything else to my PC or my phone first?
What do you do and in what order?

Thought about it for a while and finally decided to root. The process was painless, very simple. Thanks! Now off to use my new found privileges...:D
