Root Unrevoked for Incredible (Recovery reflash tool/Easy root method)

okay... so i tried it on my desktop and it ran through sequence and at very end it said communication with phone....

however it booted me to the clockworkMod Recovery screen

says v2.0.2.4 at the bottom..

now what the hell do i do?

reboot system now? push any files?

help please

The app on your PC should have displayed "Done". If so, then it worked. Ending up in the Clockwork recovery is normal.

very easy on my mac. If you are not sure what to do after root, scroll down to "now what?" on this link.

Howto: Root the HTC Droid Incredible ? Technology ? Jonamerica.com

Well go figure. I can take a dead body and bring you back to life. I can stick needles in your chest to support a collapsed lung, I can stick big needles in small veins to give you meds but I couldn't figure out the painless root. Well, actually I had did it, I just didn't know it. After going to that page and scrolling down it was like DUH! So easy. I am now running the wireless teather and it works! Now to figure out how to delete bloat apps

Worked perfectly for me on the first try. Rebooted twice and still have the root, so it hasn't "disappeared".

Notes: I had not tried to root this phone at all before this, used Windows 7 Pro x64. Did the driver install, rebooted, did unrevoked3, went through pretty quick, did nandroid backup, and am up and running.

Now ROM hunting season is open!

Ah just realized I still have the 2.0.2.4 update but it only shows when I boot into recovery outside of rom manager.

Just a heads up for everyone else so you don't get scared if you go into clockwork recover through the rom manager app.

I just installed the Android USB Driver to my phone. Am I rooted?

Cause I opened the unrevoked recovery flash tool and it isn't doing anything.

Also, do I need Android SDK?

OK, are there instructions somewhere as how to do this? I downloaded the windows version to my desktop. Now what do I do? Please help....

I'm using windows XP and the html for the directions which opens up shows everything for vista or something. Are there any directions for Windows XP users? I already downloaded the bootloader from the unrevoked page and also the android drivers. Just trying to figure out what to do now...Thanks..
