Root Unrevoked for Incredible (Recovery reflash tool/Easy root method)

Merged an Unrevoked related thread from the main forum into this one. If you see some posts relating to "Wrong forum" or something to that effect, just ignore.

I'm sorry if this has been answered before, but will I still receive the OTA update if I root using "painless root and reflash"? I ran the app on my computer and it successfully rooted my Incredible, but I did not install any custom roms.

Edit: Problem solved, I unrooted.

so i did the driver update and everything, now what?
that link everyone is posting says error 400 bad request.

uh im such a noob.

*edit* nevermind its up

Downloaded the reflash (for mac) and it took less than a minute!! Psyched and THANKS devs

Hey, I downloaded it and ran it...did the nandroid backup.

If I reboot system, will all my SMS/emails/apps still be there?

I'd like to apply the leaked OTA update as well and see how great the battery life will be.

I didn't loose any data on a restart - have not yet tried the OTA leak yet, figure I'll see when it's out for real and go from there

just giving you a heads up; you have to unroot to install the leaked OTA

That was easy!

my phone keeps getting stuck on flashing recovery. its been sitting there for 3mins so far. is that normal? all drivers were installed the last time i rooted so not sure why its taking so long... anyone experience this?

I installed the USB driver and when I run the Unrevoked tool it just sit's there and says it's waiting for the phone to be plugged in. What am I doing wrong. I've changed the USB setting on the phone from charge only, to disk drive, to htc sync and nothing recognizes. Don't post the link to the Jonamerica site, I'm behind a firewall and can't get to it for some reason.

Thanks,
Nick
