trying to root my evo 4g using unrevoked, does not want to work after i hooked my phone up to my computer. can someone please help.

Try installing and uninstalling HTC Sync. For some reason sometimes the drivers don't install right without doing this. Also, you might try and factory reset your phone. You will lose your apps so write them down if you want them back but there are some apps that mess with unrevoked once in a while. I have had to do this on 2 phones that I have rooted but it worked fine afterwards. If you still have issues, let us know. We can work through it.
Before you do any of that, how far along did it get? Can you give a few more details? Did the phone reboot at all? Did you get any specific error messages? If you turn the phone off, then turn it back on while pressing and holding volume down, you'll get to hboot. Do you have S-ON or S-OFF?
