Unrevoked 3.x flashes Unrevoked forever as a part of the rooting process so you would need to flash the s-on tool from recovery first. Rom Manager can perform a nandroid backup which is basically a snap shot of how your phone is right now so that you can restore it if something goes wrong. If you are looking to backup apps, Titanium Backup works well for that. Pics and music are saved to your sd card anyway so as long as you don't format your card, they will be there.

Why do you want to unroot?

Because im not very "tech savy" to have a rooted phone anyway and i know im not gonna be able to root my phone again and im fine with that :) oh and thank you btw

It is your phone so you can do with it what you want, might I make a suggestion though before you unroot and possibly lose the option to root again. Leave your phone rooted and just flash the current stock rooted rom. You will never know the difference without knowing what to look for and if in the future you decide that you want it rooted, it is already done for you. All rooting does is turn the security off on your phone to allow you to make changes to it. The changes you make are your choice after that and if you choose not to make any, then it is still basically a stock phone.

Well see i dont even know wha you mean by "just flash the current stock rooted rom" i mean my phone looks exactly the same as i bought it except its rooted and also i want the Gingerbread update and im to scared to look for it cause i dont wanna "brick" my phone.

We can walk you through flashing it and getting you onto the current version for our phones. I would suggest though that you read the Rooting for Dummies guide so you get an idea what you have and what you can do with it. For some of us, rooting is just a means to free wifi tethering, for other's it is a means to customize our phone when and how we choose. Many of us have become flashaholics, though it didn't start that way. I guess it depends on what you want out of your phone and if you want Sprint to dictate what you can and can't do or if you want to decide yourself. Like I said, it is your phone to do what you want with.

You also might want to take a look at the "Rooting For Dummies" guide at the top of the forum. It is full of great information, and is presented in a good way (even for non-techies).

Plus the rooted version of gingerbread is way better than the stock version. No comparison. You can also freeze or delete the Sprint bloatware. Get free teathering etc. They walked me through flashing, its pretty easy.

Ok, so im forgetting about unrooting. Im just gonna have to read up on upgrading to Gingerbread with Root, but im keeping the HTC Sense layout cause i like it haha

Once you get familiar with flashing roms and updating, you might check out some of the ported roms or custom 2.3 roms. I am currently running Alliance r7.4 which is the leaked rom from the Evo 3D with sense 2.1(which the Evo will likely not get in an official update) with Sense 3.0 elements in it. Awesome work by the Devs on this one.
