There must be an unrooting party going on (various threads). So I installed a custom boot image (no longer white background and htc logo) and wanted to know if when I unroot and flash the PC36... will it go back to the original boot image? Phone is being sold and need it to look stock. Thanks.

yep, when you install the stock rom and recovery it will also switch the splash screen (htc screen) and add the stock bootanimation as well.

If I delete my Custom splash screen from my SD card will my phone revert back to the stock splash screen?
nope. the PC36IMG file are only used to install splash screens to the internal framework of your phone. once your splash screen is installed you should always remove it. otherwise hboot will always ask you if you want to install it every time. so just remove it.
