Root Unroot HAAALP!!!

I need to unroot my evo 4G for replacement, and heres my problem:

Im using my older SD card from a previous unroot, so I was following the directions, unknowing that the stock PC36IMG zip was on my sd card. So I went to the bootloader and "updated" to the stock ROM and recovery before using the s-on tool. Now I have a wiped, stock looking phone but s-off is still showing. How can I reverse this?? Its starting to get to me and i KNOW that sprint will find some excuse to charge me $600 for the replacement coming in.

I'm not 100% on this, but I think all you need now is the S-On tool. Check the oldest Root guide (for unrevoked) that had an unroot section that would probably help you out.

Yeah, I tried, but now I cant find a way to flash the s-on tool. Theres no option to flash anything from the sd card, so anytime I load the bootloader, I just get stuck

What if you try to re-root, then un-root via the guide...? Just a thought, again, I've never done anything like this.

Oh god, I thought I was in trouble there for a minute. After I put the stock rom back on it was giving me a symbol and refusing to boot, but it finally did. Yes, I have s-on and a stock phone again :P
