Root unroot option in superuser works!!!

So you found out that unrooting works! That is a great find , So if I ever get asked by a MetroPCS employee if my phone is rooted , I go on it and then unroot while they are talking after I said "No".

I think it removes the SuperSU app and leaves the superuser binary file behind somewhere in /system

Someone correct me if I am wrong. :)

That's what happened to me when I used the "uninstall root" button in supersu. It only deleted the app.. nothing more.

AND IF YOU COPY SU IT WORKS AGAIN. MINE IS STILL THAT WAY SINCE IT GAVE ME THE SUSPECTED ROOTING MESSAGE WHEN IT TRYED TO DO
A OTA BACKUP. i'M ALL SETUP WITH SAMMYS RESTORE WHEN AND IF I NEED IT. THIS COULD BE WHY THE PHONE WORKS SO WELL, I BELEAVE
IF IT AIEN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT (TILL YOUR READY) LOL

Haha yah just remeber to reboot lol

I tried to unroot with this method and rebooted a few times afterwords.
When i try running the software update program from the apps it says that
There is a suspion of rooting message after the phone has rebooted itself .
It did NOT update to ver D it is still on ver c. I dont mind very much because
The phone works great i just was trying the new ver d but dont want to mess
Up a perfectly good running device so ill just wait till more development has been done.
I just had to try again to see if the results changed but it was the same for me.

That is because superuser apps are the permission ports for root apps, root is useless if you don't have a way to grant superuser permission. That doesn't mean it is unrooted, you can go to metro and they will still find the superuser binary. Only way to get rid of a root on the motion is a deep clean in one form or another.

You basically right the super user also there to prevent just any app from having root permission once u root any phone

Idk then but have a,question does the root option for u giys says "unroot" or "full unroot" bcus mine says "fullunroot"

Also i did it agen reboot redownload superuser it told me su binary was missing so once agen i rerooted lol

Just installed both supersu and superuser, the full unroot option on superuser deleted the app, such binary remained. Tried an older version, unroot deleted the app with such still remaining. Dunno what you're doing, but it has no effect other than creating an annoyance.

I guess its just my phone den

Maybe, ive used a long list of apps to remove root when the update was released. Ginger unroot and hide my root are false positives.

I think every phone is slightly different. I'm rooted and was able to do the OTA update, without loosing root.

The lg update for the motion searches your phone for a series of stock apks. You can be rooted and do the update, but you can't delete any of the system apps before the update. If you do delete these apps then you'll have to do a firmware recovery using the lg update tool.

if you restore all apps back to their original directorys do you think it will ota" software update" apk without unrooting or is it just easier to do sammyzs unbrick method?
I've left the phone in this state because it uploaded a lot of stuff (30mg) to the phone before it gave me the rooting suspion error and i thought that there may be some information to help us get a custom restore.
The phone doesn't have any adverse affects and works great. The only thing i've noticed is like maybe every 10 day it asks to check if an update is available on a reboot but i have just been hitting cancel. The" software update" apk keeps date forwarding and keeps track of the date.

like i've stated, i saved my original oanandroid. then did some modding to the status line , notifications and debloated myself and did another oanandroid to save my theming. that is where i'm at.
I did forget to mention i installed ICS fotakill as a lock to keep it this way.
