Root Unrooted Some how?

Well to i rooted my phone abot 5 days ago and then to day i lost it idk what happened i was in stalling some apps but thats about it and it will not leet me reroot:(

Because any rooted program i try to use tell me i dont have root and root checker says---sorry this device does not have proper root access

I had that same problem until I racked my brain trying to figure it out. The original root is more like a guide to allow proper root access. It takes 2 offical roots to get it. Never use to be that way before super su came out but its the only way to update the binary

Are those things uninstalled now? If not then uninstall them and try poot again. If it still doesn't work then you can try hashtag's click root or the jcase method, or post about it in the poot thread and hopefully get giantpune's attention.

Attempt to reroot using Poot. Then copy and paste the full results of what is shown EXACTLY. And do NOT flash what that one guy was saying. I do remember the one good thing I got out of System Rom Toolbox from the Play Store before they disabled my favorite features was you could Download Zip Files that were the SU binary and superuser.apk that you'd flash in a custom recovery such as CWM. It also had the 2.3 gapps you could download as a .zip as well. We need to know what poot says when you run it. If you have the latest kernel by giantpune installed you won't be able to use poot I believe tho.

found "system/bin/xbin/su"
-rwsr-x root root 22364 2013-01-26
15:46 su

"/system/bin" is the first su found
The su that is being used is not /system/xbin as expected

I second this.

There are two methods listed in the official (and Moderator-stickied) CWM FAQ-Guide thread. Giantpune's app/apk and the Jcase root method. Try either of those, and if you're still out of luck then try Hashtag's method. Do not try any other method, or you could potentially screw your phone into oblivion. There is a reason only certain methods were listed, this is why.

Huh. Did you try to install SuperSU at all? That's weird that you have su in 2 different places. Need a way for it to be in /system/xbin/ idk if that has an impact for it being in both places or not tho

Also do you have Superuser installed? Try updating the binary by opening the app, scroll left, and then tap on the Binary Updater. It shows something about updating it idr exactly. Then post results of if your rooted. :]
