Root Unrooting Help

I want to unroot back to a stock rom so I can accept OTAs. Do I need S-off to properly install OTAs? I do have the bootloader relocked. The reason I want to unroot is because my camera stopped working, but the sprint store would not work on the phone because it was rooted. android version: 4.1.1, software version 3.15.651.16 710 RD, hboot 2.09.0000, radio 1.12.11.1119.

just curious as to why you want to do this? no need to do that....i would recommend that you get s-off and then the world is your as far as flashing roms go....we have moonshine now that works like a charm and is pretty easy to do.....here is the guide if you like to try: http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-lte-all-things-root/605567-ltevo-rooting-dummies-complete-guide.html

I actually misphrased in the original post. I meant to say "do I have to get s-on to properly install otas?" I do have s-off. As for the reason, that can be found above: "The reason I want to unroot is because my camera stopped working, but the sprint store would not work on the phone because it was rooted." Other than that, I do love being rooted.

well ok if you want to unroot the phone for service, i can understand. but to be honest they should work on your phone even though it is rooted. just flash to a sense rom and they should have no issues. you do not need to divulge that the phone is rooted....though there policy should have changed and it should not matter if the phone is rooted or not.

out of curiosity, have you tried a different rom? it might be a rom issue and not hardware.

anyways we have a guide in the stickies up at the top of this forum.

here it is if you can't find it:

I have tried a different ROM. Even with a sense ROM they were unable to do a factory reset because it booted into TWRP and then they wouldn't work on the phone. Thank you for the link. I looked at that before. Some of the links to download the files are broken. I clicked through to the xda forum this time where they still have the files to download. If anyone else is looking for help in this thread, they can find the xda thread on unrooting here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1744700
