Root Up-to-date list of ROMs/Kernels

Is there a more up-to-date listing of ROMS and Kernels than the sticky? I have been using MikG 3.0 with either AnthraX or AggFreedom, but I would like to branch out and see new ROMs. My GF dropped my phone in the toilet, and it seems to have been acting strage these days. However, I'm sure MikG is a bloated ROm as well, and this may be part of the problem.

not sure what you mean by bloated for mikg. all the bloatware is removed on this rom so.......the list we have we try to keep with most of the roms that are out there. you go always go over to EVO 4G Android Development - xda-developers and see what they have.

I guess 'bloated' may not have been the best term to use there. I just feel like my phone is running slowly, even with AnthraX running smartass with max near 1.13. It runs fine for a few days, and then just slows down. I get a LOT of pauses in loading apps/screens. It might not be MikG at all.

well have you tried other roms? i would try tommy's classic evo rom or even go the aosp route. aosp roms do not have sense and thus are smaller in size. they are known for their performance and better battery life then other roms. but they do take a little more tweeking to get the rom working right.
you will need to:
1.flash gapps.
2.flash the qualcomm drivers for gps:[FIX][AOSP][MIUI] All GPS fixes! - xda-developers
3.install visual voice message of some sort like google voice. the gaps file in the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/284413-roms-kernels-download-page.html has gapps with sprints vvm cooked in.

so you see there is more tweeking but performance overall is well worth it. i would try cm7, deck's, and the xplod roms. also try out the tiamat sbc kernels. they always ran great for me.

hmm maybe its feeling water logged, I know I move slower when I am ;):D:D

Of perhaps an AOSP rom like OMFGB or something...? I didn't find mikg 3.0 beta2 (which I'm currently on (still)) to be bloated.... though I'm using Go.... ymmv.

Also try and make a habit of clearing the cache partition and the dalvik cache regularly. This can help with performance issues a lot of the time.
