Help Update 2.29.405.5 problem :(

I get the exact same problem as the OP, debranded, with gold card in the update fails. I have 65MB of internal storage, gold card has at least 1GB free.

Looks like I will have to update with the RUU a bit annoying having to wipe the phone every time I want to update though. Will stick with 2.29.405.2 for now.

I've got the same issue with the red triangle... I have a Telstra Desire from Telstra, debranded by using a gold card and stock rom. After the auto update with the goldcard didn't work, I tried downloading the OTA update from here, renaming to update.zip and then copying to my goldcard-sdcard... Then I tried to apply the update manually (vol down, turn on, recovery, vol up, power button, apply update.zip). I got the error shown below. Does this give anybody any clues of how to get the update to work?

Seems alot of people who have debranded thier phone are having problems.. one solution is to download the RRU and do a clean install, although this means you lose everything so will have to make a backup first.

Read post #47 here --> clicky

I have done this and my phone has updated ok.

I have the same update issue. Has anyone found a workaround?

I have a debranded not rooted HTC desire, with goldcard.

Update 2.29.405.2 was the best update. Battery life increaae, speed of the phone, etc, etc. This update 2.29.405.5 broke everything. Wireless is no longer autoconnectong when i arrive in my router range. Phone is runing slow, default browser is using100% of proc, every thing is wrong ...

Anyone knows how to uninstall the last update on HTC Desire unbranded unrooted (standard one) ?

Thanks
