Root update 2.3.6. ruined my rooted phone. now what?

i foolishly updated to 2.3.6 and now superuser doesnt work. how do fix it? actually id like to unroot it if possible. i dont have CWM but i know how to start my phone in cwm through odin, if its any help..... thanx....

You are already unrooted if superuser doesnt work, your running stock FF27 kernel and you dont have cwm.
 
i fixed it with just a little research here in the forums. i booted up i cwm using odin. un-rooted, then re-rooted..... everything seems to be ok....
 
i'm having the same issue after the update but odin is not working on my phone. I get an error when in download mode on my phone saying "odin_ack FAILED!!!" When i press run on odin, i get a error message saying cannot open usb port. I was following the video on how to use odin. Am i doing something wrong? What files should i use and how do i flash them?

Sounds to me u need to reinstall drivers after reboot and as far as flashing u just made a thread about it here http://androidforums.com/transform-ultra-all-things-root/600531-attention-newbies-read-me.html
 
HEY LILRICK... could you please let me know how you did it with odin? i'm having the same issue and don't know what to do to get my root back. i have odin but don't have the knowledge or files to get moving in the right direction.

choose whatever rom u want to use they have the superuser installed on them cwm is just the program that installs roms

I'm sorry but i'm a newbie and don't know what roms are. do you know of any great roms and where do i get theses roms? I really appreciate any link or help you could give me to getting my root back.
