not sure if the DST is in reference to the Current city time being off, but if it isn't...that is also fixed. Pretty pumped about that.

2. messages come on time

4. apps are named correctly and have the correct picture
5. Added quick access mute and speaker phone buttons while in a call
6. updated android character while in a call
7. app search, hold down the search button while looking at your app list
8. Call on hold issue (according to another user)
9. Merged/Conference Calls work correctly now (according to another user)
10. Improvement to camera picture quality
11. DST issue addressed, "unable to receive SMS" due to "full memory" addressed
12. Memory Leak when BT is in connected state

Anyone notice any apps they may have had installed before, missing now from the marketplace? I did a hard reset on my device before the firmware update, and now there are some apps that I had before that don't come up when I search (mmafia, and mvampire being two of them).

If it's the same haircut demo I'm thinking of, it's the one that's been featured in a sound effects exhibit at Disney's MGM Studios park at DisneyWorld for years. Very cool effect.
possibly, try it and let me know, afaik this one was made by college students, but I may be wrong

What am i doin wrong i go to settings/about phone/system updates/firmware update. Nothing happens am i going to the right place. HELP!

Does the screen now turn off when on a phone call?

the screen has always shut off during a phone call, after the length of time you had set for it to turn off any other time.

If you mean does it shut off when it goes up to your face, then no. The hero has no proximity sensor to accomplish that

Does the screen now turn off when on a phone call?

My screen always turned off, I would advise to check the settings on your phone. Also, there is a light sensor on the phone, not sure if that is or can be used in conjunction with a call in progress to turn off screen. If not it would be a nice feature to add later, but liek I said, the screen has turned off for me.

On another note... hahaha, I'm cracking up, First day I was a little busy and not getting my fill, spending some time on the Forum here and what happens? The update is released, lol...

I'll be updating shortly... :)

Same problem... nevermind.. problem solved.

edit: When I frist tried the update, i got called mid update (toward the start where this message came up).

I then tried to update and ran into the same problem.

I tried turning my phone off and on... did the update just fine. If you run into this situation, it is probably for the same reason I did. Just do what I did.

Reporting that my update worked. I was a bit concerned with how long I had to sit watching the HTC boot screen.....seemed like over 5 minutes before it moved on to loading Android and the SenseUI. I actually plugged in the USB cable and walked away to have dinner. Came back a few minutes later and it was complete.

Has anyone noticed that the screen transitions between portrait mode to landscape mode a lot faster. Maybe less lag?:D

Just tried... definitely noticeable! (in browser at least)

I thought it was fast in transition before, but this is almost instant. I used my ipod touch while updating my Hero's firmware, and I can honestly say I don't miss it at all. My Hero has surpassed all my expectations. I can't imagine how much better 2.0 will make it.

Update downloaded just fine but now I keep getting force close errors on the phone itself: process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Anybody have any suggestions? :(

I might try a factory reset, have you tried that?

Yeah, I was afraid that would be the answer, but at least my contacts are already backed up in gmail. Sigh. This is reminding me of the Instinct all over again (and obviously not in a good way).
