Root update Evo 4G

Hi seeing how im new to all this i don't understand it all but i do know my evo is running the 2.3.3 and there is a update will this affect my root? the only thing i use my root for is the WiFi tether.

i moved you to the rooting section.

YES DO NOT ACCEPT THE UPDATE. if you do you will more then likel get unrooted. and unfortunately, revolutionary will not work after you accept the update as it will change and lock you bootloader. and then you will have to use this guide:http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/488901-rooting-hboot-2-18-dummies-guide.html.
