Root Update pop up help

I get an update pop up saying 4.5.596 is downloaded and ready to install every hour.

Im still on froyo and rooted I don't want to update to gimgerbread.
Is there a way to turn that off?

put a rom on your phone, it stops it pretty fast

do a quick search - renaming some of your bloatware will cause the update to fail

Rename the updater apk in system/app, I can't remember what it's called right now, but that should do it.

Of course I would, but it's not out yet.........at least I haven't seen it released yet.

Once I see it, and try it of course (can't live from past rep. alone) and if it's good, I will recommend it

I forgot he's still on Froyo.......Froyo is such a distant memory for me now.

In that case yes, that would be my Rom of choice since it was my favorite Rom on Froyo

haha, nah im going to check back regularly, but probably wont be posting so much, i do most of my posting when im at work lol, i work so quickly and effectively at work i can do that in the spare time of 2 - 3 minutes at a time

so brute did you get your issue resolved?

being on froyo i would flash a rom instead of keeping the stock blur that the phone came with, MotoBlur on GB is a different story though
