Help Update to 2.2 while rooted? HELP plz

I am on 2.0.1 using smoking glass rom, v5.0.1.

Im wanting to update to the new 2.2 but still keep my root and FLASH!.
I also had it flashed to a different carrier. Id like to know how i can do this????


How i update while keeping my root / with root and still have my carrier that i flashed the phone to working??????

The best way would probably be to just flash a 2.2 rom but I honestly dont know much about flashing phones to other carriers.
