Help Update to JB 4.2 failed. "android.process.acore" error. Desperation.

Hi, my name is Max. I updated my Galaxy Nexus to JB 4.2. With 4.1.2 it worked like charm. Apparently everything went smoothly, but after OS startup a message started to pop-up continously, every 5/10 sec, "android.process.acore has stopped". Nothing in the world can stop this message from popping up. I tried also deleting cache of contact app and of all app as well. Impossible to use the phone anymore. I tried to wipe-factory reset, but when I go to the bootloader and select "recovery mode", I land to the page of the android in maintenance, where the options for recovery are supposed to be, but then I cannot find any option there (it says "command not found"). Then, after few seconds, the phone boots normally and the message starts popping up again and again. Is there a way to recover the phone to factory? Is there a way to revert to JB 4.1.2? I did not make any root on the phone. Thank you so much, M

My suggestion would be to try and reload 4.2 on your phone. You can use these instructions to load the 4.2 Google Factory Image. I'd warn you that it will delete your phone, like a factory image, but you were already willing to do a factory image.

Root and flash AOKP's Milestone 1. It's 4.1.2 and it's buttery smooth with amazing battery life. Download the Nexus toolkit from XDA. It's by far the easiest way to root your phone.
