Root update?

Hey I actually want this update although I was rooted and it failed and my phone restarted I no longer wanted the root so I got rid of all that but when I try to check for system updates phone says it"s up to date but nothing loaded on the update, what can I do ? Will the option to update just show up again at some point?

No you have to flash back to stock. and get rid of your custom recovery. see here

wait but I did flash back to my backup of the stock is that enough?

would a factory reset give me access to the update?

Not unless you completely return to stock. That involves flashing the stock recovery back to your phone, the stock ROM back to your phone and removing Root.
