my phone has just had a update is this wot every one is waiting for.

my android version now says 2.2.1

so is this wot you all have been waiting for ?????

your alittle late out the blocks getting this update 2.2.1 came out around or just before christmas time 2010. Its 2.3 that everyone is waiting on

It must be the flawed update that was removed (which is why you didn't get it in January), but it still doesnt explain how you've received it now.

HTC must have either fixed the update and re-released it, or... I don't know

So what you's are saying, is that 2.2.1 is buggy?

I have had my DHD for just over a week and noticed no problems whatsoever. I have a T-Mobile UK Branded DHD with 2.2.1

What are these bugs?

I have had my DHD for just over a week and noticed no problems whatsoever. I have a T-Mobile UK Branded DHD with 2.2.1

What are these bugs?

Just to mention a few:

1) SD card issues, wiped SD cards, or SD recognition failure

2) SMS bug, all messages on the phone just disappear and can't be retrieved (almost thought it happened to me about 5 min ago, but I'm on 2.2. I then rebooted my phone and all messages were back)

3) a Reboot bug that starts forcing the phone to reboot for no apparent reason and it can occur up to multiple times every hour

These are just the ones I can think of right now. Not everybody are affected by these bugs, as with all software systems, there has to be specific triggers for the system to react like it does. Thus, it has to be a combination of the users interaction, and a programs sequential interface or data that is triggering these bugs, but exactly what is causing these triggers to go off, nobody knows.

To be honest, I am so happy I didn't update. I didn't have a data plan for the evening it was available, and when I got a data plan the next day, it was gone. But the 2.2 stock Android version is stable, and all functions work as far as I know, however, there are some system processes that are not optimalized, and these can pull more power than necessary or be perceived as "slow". Also there might be minor issues with the quality of some functions, like the camera, but those are just minor details in my view :). I'm waiting for a stable 2.3 release :D

Well I've had 2 DHD handset's (first one was replaced due to low sound issues), and I've had no problems with any of them other than the low volume issue.

However, a friend of mine said she is getting the constant reboot issue on her DHD, and she is also T-Mobile UK branded
