is it true that if you rooted the evo you can't do the update ?

No, they have the update for rooted phones in the rooted section. The rooted version kicks the butt out of stock version. Lots of goodies ,some updated sense, which stock Evos didn't get. Ive seen both stock and rooted...and the rooted update blows stock out of the water. Imo. Post in all things root. That's where you need to be.
