Root Update

Got the big OK from Samsung, my phone is on its way back to me:). I noticed when i checked the repair status online it said updated S/W which means software. It could possibly mean that my phone will be running 2.3.6 when it comes back to me, only time will tell.

Hey on that note my phone took a big dump on me it is randomly shutting off as well as I keep losing service in full service areas so I called boost they gave me the number to Samsung I gave them a call the man said my software is current but they are readying new FW so he tried to send it to my phone but my piece of shit phone failed the update so I have to ship it back to them. I just got the label emailed to me so we shall see what happens.

That's great to hear, glad you will be continuing your awesome work. :)

Why did it fail the test?

My phone didn't fail the test but when I got the OTA update popup I clicked ok and it failed the update for some reason so Samsung wants my phone. Oh and my phone is on stock firmware it was on your rom, but I flashed back to see if that would fix it so I hope they dont find anything when they get it.

I received the OTA update but it failed to install. I flashed the first stock rom and attempted to update with no luck. I also tried odin to try to flash stock kernel thinking maybe that wiould work but still couldn't install the OTA update. If anyone is willing to walk me through I will greatly appreciate it.

I believe people are failing because they have cwm not because they have root. You need to odin to get rid of cwm.

I did do an odin stock recovery and didn't help. I'll keep trying. Thanks.
