hi.

It works fine to i came to the downgrade part.

sending zip... OKEY (66,814 sek)
Writing zip _

I have wait now for over one houre it shuld not take so long time ? . The screen on the htc is just black and in the middel of the screen (HTC). I have trided many times but nothing is happening.

I have also tridet the alternative dowgrade meny but it dosen't work ither. What can i doo ?

I just downloaded the new v14 ace kit, it's pretty much a one click thing, does gold card gen by itself and it didn't erase my sd card. Took about 15 mins, another 10 and I had CM7 installed. It's going to be awesome.

I was non-rooted using the stock aug-2011 gb ruu.

So I tried this and now when I go into cwm and do factory reset it just shows the white htc screen and fades out to black. Please help this is my first time rooting but I know my way around a pc, I just want to run CyanogenMod

Nevermind, seems using a mac instead of windows to do this works better

Thanks a lot for the great post ... I used to root older HTC phones using Android SDK and many tools and it used to take hours but now! EASY EASY thanks a lot

Hi, i already done all the prerequisites stuff:-

• Make sure HTC USB Drivers for Android are installed (included in the Hack Kit @ tools/windrivers)
• Disable all malware detection, including Windows Defender
• Uninstall HTC Sync
• Uninstall Droid Explorer
• Uninstall iTunes or stop service
• Uninstall ALL other phone pda or tablet software

but yet when i right click to run hack-ace.cmd, it just blink for like 1 sec then turn off itself. I can't really open it!!! Can anyone help me out? i not even started yet!!!

i use command prompt to run hack-ace.cmd and it shows this :

killing htc sync process if it exists...
'tasklist' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

So, just to make me feel more secure in the process, to restore my phone to stock I would flash the AT&T RUU that is linked in the OP and then do the S-On option in that order? Do I need to reflash the stock radio?

I have got a HTC inspire I am trying to root by using the ace hack kit I have read the effen manual but what I don't understand is that I thought that I just had to download the zip file and unzip it and run as admistrator press 1 and then enter and ur done let the hack kit do the rest so do I have to do the gold card stuff need some help im new at this

Seriously, why should someone post a new thread when one already exists? All you needed to do was look at the existing threads in this forum. Less than halfway down the page you would've found this...

All the information you'll need is right there.

Download the file, read the Effen Manual, follow the preparation process (uninstall htc sync and itunes, turn on debugging and other simple stuff), open the file AS AN ADMINISTRATOR and just hit start. Then watch your phone being rooted. It will reboot a few times. It took me about 7 minutes and done.

Don't know how it could get any more straight forward than that.
