Root Updated to frd83d. what roms work

Nervous. Just factory reset his droid that was updated via the total. Rooted w soup. Installed rom manager.. created a back up. What roms work w new total and can I install most droid rims via recovery from sd card?

I'm not even trying to bag on you but huh? Fix your spelling and grammar so people could understand what you are trying to say so then you can receive help.

i recomend freviewing this post http://androidforums.com/droid-all-...de-updated-december-11th-2010-2-00pm-cst.html , but if you want poorly written instructions heres my attempt!

what your best bet will be is to install rom manager and flash clockwork recovery mod.

once its succesfully flashed reboot into recovery mode (hold down the x key and the power key while booting up), and just scroll down to nandroid, create a backup.

once youve succesfully created a backup, choose what rom you want to use and install it to the sd card (i prefer ultimate droid personally)

after its installed to SD card, boot back into recovery mode, wipe data and cache ( the more times the better( I do it 3 times each)), scroll down to Install zip from SD card>choose zip from SD card> scroll down to the rom you downloaded select it.

let the phone do its work.

I've had a question for a while now about wiping. I've heard several people say to do it more than once. Isn't it like reformatting a hard drive? You only need to do it once?

There are those who think a single wipe is sufficient, and those who believe that there may be little bits left over from a single wipe and that 3 wipes will completely slick the partition. I always wipe 3 times myself... it doesn't take THAT long and I KNOW it's all zeroes. Your decision which group you fall into :)
