Root Updating BACKside question

Hello All!

I noticed that I do not have the most current version of BACKside IHO, I looked on the thread for the way to update it. My question lies with this. Does updating the ROM delete all my information/app/etc like how it did when originally flashing the ROM?

ALSO,

I am going to add the CoolBlues theme that djthebogan was nice enough to update to the current build. In that thread some say I need to cache wipe and others say not to.... What do I do?

If you just wipe cache partition and dalvik cache then install the update (no gapps), you will not loose anything. If you use LINK2SD you need to something else. I know nothing about it though.
Wait till you reboot the phone a couple of times before installing the Theme.
I always wipe cache partition and dalvik before I install a theme. But I'm not everybody.

Thanks Andy!

I am not using Link2SD, so I am not gonna be dealing with that bit. Don't need a new copy of Gapps, mine work fine. So, I'll go ahead and wipe the caches and install 01102012 of BACKside

If wiping the cache and dalvik don't erase anything, there mustn't be any harm in doing it before installing a theme. I guess I'll give it a try.

When updating with link2SD, all that needs to be done is menu-more-recreate mount scripts.
