Dont think so on the notification icons, can pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk with root explorer or terminal/adb. Assuming that hasnt changed. The apps would be in data, so if you only wiped dalvik cache and cache when you flashed over they would stay, but if it didnt work and you had to wipe data then no.

I previously asked about this about a month or two back and was told it'd be offered IF the creator of the custom framework icons approved of the use for the Ally.

If we wanted to do this ourselves, how could we do this with the adb push?? Reason I ask is because there's no tutorial on how to do this. The framework icons were made for Metamorph, but was curious on how to do this myself.

you have to pull the framework-res.apk and extract it, edit/replace icons and images and zip ip and put it back, you can find a few different "apk managers" on xda that will make modifying them a breeze.

ok to make this question easier, my current framework will be f1 and velocity's framework will be f2

can i save my entire current f1 on my computer, upgrade to velocity 1.1 (tonight. stoked), then pull the f2 out afterwords and replace it with my f1?

thats what i was saying in my first post, you should be able to pull it and update then push it back, assuming they havent made any changes to it
