upgrade tomorrow!

The thing is, even if you open it, normally the battery is soldered in nice and tight. <-That's your problem. ;)

Considering batteries are typically swapped out on handsets since they tend to fail prematurely before anything else, I can't imagine Motorola not having the foresight to engineer the phone so the battery pops out without any issue. Typically with a phone's warranty batteries aren't covered for the length of the phone's warranty. Even the iPhone decided to go with a battery that could be removed easily once you pop off the back.

So many new phones getting ready to roll up, I would skip the TB and wait for razr/prime.

I've only had the TB since it was released. Even though I won't qualify for upgrade, I will probably go pay full price for prime so I can get rid of this thing.

I'm of the "bird in the hand" school. I needed a new phone NOW, waiting not an option, and I've been thrilled. There's always a new and better phone coming, and yes, in a month or so, the replacement for the Tbolt will be here...but I've been really happy so far, and will easily roll along for a year or so (my typical upgrade cycle) without a second phone.

I hate to sound like a cheerleader after only a month, knowing that so many much more experienced people are having such serious issues...but I am. Sweet, sweet relief from my iPhone 4.

But Nick021 said he was upgrading "tomorrow" - nearly a week ago. What happened man?!? What did you decide?

Too bad you didn't wait for a few more days. The Razr is supposed to have been bumped per this post http://androidforums.com/3360052-post651.html I'm not saying you should get the Razr (even though the specs look pretty slick and it looks 'razr' thin) but the prices of the TB should fall in the next few weeks, especially by the 10th of November if that's when the Rezound is slated to come out.

I've had my TBolt since April, and haven't had any of the issues that people talk about - even upgrades haven't changed it or did anything negative. Sure, battery life isn't the greatest, but we all know that going in.. but now you can get an extended one, or buy a HTC Rezound battery with more mH that fits the TB.. or just have a couple of chargers handy!

I love my TB and I'm glad I got it! I have nothing negative to say about the phone; it does everything I need.

P.S. Beware of the new Razr.. the battery is permanently in the phone. When the phone freezes.. you can't do a battery pull!
