Help Upgraded firmware to 2.3.6 and CPU is slower?

Hi there,

I have an unrooted Optus-AU branded SGS2 and just updated firmware to 2.3.6 KK2 from 2.3.3 KE7 and now battery life appears improved and connects to the H/H+ network faster it seems.

However Norton Mobile Utilities reports that the maximum CPU clock speed is 800MHz. It used to be 1200MHz was the maximum and I can see that flicking home screens in TW appears a little jittery than before.

Is this how it improves battery life by dropping the performance by 33% even though they advertise it as 1.2 GHz processor?

Was this an official update via Kies or unofficial via Odin? If the latter, did the kernel get updated to KK2 at the same time? If not then what you're seeing with NMU may be misreporting due to a mismatch.

No changes have been made to the CPU clock speed in any updates - the max available frequency is still 1200MHz.

This was an offical update through Kies on 16th Dec. Listed on Kies as PDA:KK2 / PHONE:KI4 / CSC:KK1 (OPS).

Is there a phone dialer code thingy to display info I can cross check against what Norton is picking up?
