Root Upgraded to mikg 2.5.6, low memory issue

Okay I upgraded to mikg 2.5.6 from 2.5.5, I was experiencing problems so I did a hard wipe, reflashed 2.5.6 fresh and clean, but now that I have nandroid recovery'd and I am in titanium B pro, I am having memory issues when restoring, it seems that the internal memory is very low, and the SD card is nearly full as well. I feel like there are some duplicate files or something that has significantly taken space up on the phone (could it be the newest nandroid I did tonight?)

I need to free space for titanium backup restore to complete... kinda confused as to how to achieve this.. helP!

How big is your sd card? can you copy everything to your pc, and then go through your card and either format it or just get rid of stuff you don't absolutely need on there?

Either that or get a bigger/faster card and partition it.

I think its like 8 gig... im in the market for a larger one but need to wait for the funds to clear :)...

Im stuck halfway through a TiRestore but there is still room left for it to load stuff....frustrating..

ps just got it back up and running i had to slowly move apps to the sd card one at a time, even though both are full... I just deleted the older version of mikg 2.55 and some other odds and ends... I wonder what else is safe to remove.. i gotta find that post again about what android stuff its okay to uninstall (like the sprint bloatware stuff)

also make sure that you do not keep to many nandroid backups on your card. they take up a lot of room.

and just an fyi, when you move apps to the card you are not really moving them to the card in its entirety. they get split up and one part of your app is on your card and the other part is left on your phone. that is why your apps on the card do not have widgets that work. and it is a way to free up room without having performance issues with the app. if the whole app is on a class 2 stock card then it might have performance issues as read and write speeds will be very slow and could cause lag.

ahaaaaa thanks for the in depth explanation for my edjumacation (and for the links too!!!) ;)

How Many Nandroid backups are necessary? just the first and then the last recent one? (In terms of stored on your computer)....

On the phone... I assume just keep the latest to be able to flash back to?

i keep only two. my favorite which is mik3d and the other is the current rom. i also keep one nandroid on my computer and in my dropbox that has my wimax keys backed up.
