URL from "logcat_accept.txt" file! :)

Okay guys, got the update (WA State) at around 1:30 am. Was talking to my girlfriend at that time and had hung up to notice something on my notification bar .... SYSTEM UPDATE AVAILABLE!!! Anyways, I digress. I downloaded the Android SDK and followed all the necessary steps to create the logcat_accept.txt file. Anyways ... what you guys have all been anxiously waiting for, the URL extracted from the file is: /cache/OTA_Desire_C_Verizon_WWE_2.36.605.1_1.17.605.1_release_0420.79112f65.zip

great work. Now I hope someone knows what to do with this. You were on 1.5 I assume?

The same info is in my file...

You are a hero.

All the kittens that get killed daily by repetitive un-useful threads about 2.1..you have stopped this

Thanks

i tried renaming to update.zip and going through recovery, but i get an installation aborted message.

i'm on leak3

Probably a stupid question, but you know its not named update.zip.zip, right?

I saw other people having issues with that in other places.

The boot loader only accepts 4-5 filenames that it will boot from. You can see the names it looks for when trying to boot. The downloaded name obviously won't work and MUST be renamed.

yeah i verified that.

the messages that appear are:

--Install from sdcard...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
Installing update...
Installation aborted.

Try naming it that folder how the leaks were named. I don't remember off the top of my head, too early in the morning >.>
