USB Connection On Widows XP

SPDNVS

Lurker
Hi Folks,

i have tried so many time to connect my SGS2 via USB but it seems not connected it required driver for the same

I have also tried to connecting using Kies but it still seems same even the USB connection on Kies fails to connect please help

I am Using Windows XP

My memory on XP is now a bit hazy but I think USB plug-and-play support was included from the outset. Certainly with SP1/2, connecting the handset via USB cable should give you notification on the phone of a USB connection, and confirming this should show the storage volumes (internal and external) as two removable drive in Explorer.

Installing Kies also installs the necessary drivers for MTP support, but basic removable storage support is included with the OS.

Using Windows XP and connect fine for me. With Kies and USB mass storage.

SPDNVS,

Did you go into settings/wireless&network/usb utilities...
You need to go there to connect via USB mass storage. And you are only suppose to connect the usb cable after tapping the icon there.
