Help USB mass storage connection keep disconecting

When I am trying to copy large files ( and even small one sometimes ) to my phone ( phone memory or SD cart ) my USB connection is disconnecting and media scanning starts. I don't know if media scanning is the reason of disconnecting or a result of it. Anybody had such problem? Thanks

I have this problem 50% of the time on my PC in work. Its an old PC, but my laptop at home is much newer and I never get this problem on it. How old is your PC?

When it happens, disconnect the USB cable at the PC, and try another USB port.

Thank you. My computer is not too old - 2-3 years. I tried on my new laptop and there is no interruptions so far. May be it is unknown Windows bug, not Android's.

Another thing that often helps with USB problems is to use one of the backplane ports connected directly to the motherboard rather than a front-panel port connected via cable to a header.
