Root USB MTP only?

My phone is rooted and running MS77010e firmware.
I am trying to connect it as charge only, but no matter what I do it wants to connect as MTP. I have tried rebooting already too. I don't want to flash stock firmware, takes too long and I'm trying to make a guide for the Spirit.

Settings > Scroll down to system, touch connectivity >tap on USB connection type> choose 'Charge Only'
Do this with your USB unplugged, then after you did that, try to see if it stays charge only.

Tried that before, it's still stuck, even tried rebooting, still stuck.

I just backed up everything and erased data with recovery, now it's working...
