Root usb not recognized

Newbie
My computer will not recognize my phone. I've tried rebooting both devices several times but no luck. Anyone have a real solution to this problem?

Running Cyanogen 6.1 RC2

First check that you have USB debugging turned on. If yes, you can load the universal driver which can be found somewhere in this forum or worst case download HTC Sync which has the USB driver packaged with it.
