I have been using this feature a lot recently and it works brilliantly, but only when you hard-drive is formatted to FAT32, limiting the file sizes to 4GB. the only problem is that im using my general external hard drive that i use to back up all my data, and some of my files are over 4GB.

i have tried creating partitions on the hard drive, and having the FAT32 as the primary partition, but as soon as there is a NTFS partition on the drive the phone wont recognize that anything is connected.

Has anyone got any ideas for a work around for this?

Hard drives should not be fat32 really, they should be NTFS and the SD Card should be FAT32

Only real solution, if you really must use them with the phone that is, is to split files larger than 4GB.
