Help usb storage problem

Tech support told me to take to to the nearest Verizon store and have them check it out. I switched the sd card with another one and it worked. So what im thinking is that all of those files im trying to transfer are on my internal storage and not my sdcard like they should be. When i access astro it all shows up under my sd card. What i get to show up on my ps3 is sdcard ext. When i look at available storage space internal total i have 8 available i have 3.77 sd card it says i have 14.78 and available is 14.55. So i think my music is on the internal memory even though it shows up on my sd card in a music file on astro. How do i fix this.

Astro reads it fine. SDCard is your internal memory while SDCard-Ext is external removable SD Card. You can move your files form the internal to external via astro or a computer would be the fastest. You are not rooted at all are you?

Reason I ask if you were rooted was because I found that sometimes my SDCard is unmounted in Recovery. I have a PS3 but I am rooted and am at work atm.

Moved the files to sd ext. And it brought back the second usb storage file. Switched my phone to store everything on the sd card. Somehow it was set to store internally. Thanx for all the help guys. Problem solved.

Wait, what do you mean you switched your phone to store everything on hte removable sdcard?

And I now see what was going on - the PS3 was trying to be 'helpful' but not showing the empty removable sdcard, eh?

Dangit, Sony!

Yeah if u go to your settings u can set it to store stuff either internally or on the sd card. Everything i was downloading was going to my internal memory now it will all automatically go to my sd card. And i think it wasnt showing me the extra space because my internal storage was reallu close to full and didnt want me possibly adding to it in any way.

Ummm that is right under the heading of Windows Sync - so, does it apply to the phone and the apps on the phone, or only when you're using Windows sync?

My guess is the latter, hence me not using it.

I'm trying it now to see if it makes a difference.

My assumption is the same as yours and that there is no way to chage that default ... it is going to an absolute folder name.

Please let us know.
