Help usb storage

checked my settings and my usb storage is full but why does it say misc is taking up 53gb when there is only 11.5gb in the usb storage can anyone help

This is probably due to a corrupt file misreporting its size, or a problem with the file system itself. The easiest solution would be to backup everything to your Google account, copy the contents of internal storage to PC, perform a factory reset then restore.

It's a bug.
Well, not a bug if you consider the way Sammy ROMs mount the external SD card, as this is done so within /sdcard itself (whereas AOKP etc mount it separately in /emmc)

This figure that gets reported in your "USB Storage" (ie your internal SD card) actually includes your external sd card too.

If you tap that "misc" entry you will see external_sd included within

ok so if i did factory restore it would still happen again

Factory reset would make no difference whatsoever
