User Ranking?

Where's it gone?...I used to be a 'Senior Member' :( I see it now says "I like this place" well I do but did not need you to tell me this lol. Anyway, how can I change it, cannot seem to find it in my User CP? Thanks.

Custom titles is a premium service now. If your not a premium user you just have to go with what the staff decide to put there. Changing it wil require a higher post count (If there is a higher title. Mods?)

Nope, noting like a X amount of posts unlocks certain features. The only way to have a custom user title is by becoming a Premium User. From what I understand, the Admins went through the database day before last and added those generic user titles at random.

I have to say, I think the default user titles are pretty horrible now, its really annoying me for some reason seeing links to subforums and the search in peoples user titles.

Can't you put them back to what they were before? Without links, and more like "newbie" "senior" or whatever? Those are much nicer, maybe something more creative with regards to an android theme maybe? Anything but the latest change!!

Aww, we worked hard on those! Thought they were pretty great. There are 7 or 8 of them.

:'(

Well. I hope you guys are happy, hurting your admin's feelings. :(

:P

Seriously though. Yeah, the idea was to just have some fun while getting links for intro (with rules thread), search, and rooting areas out there. As for junior/senior default stuff - I don't care for that.. post count has zero reflection on someone's worth, whether they are 'senior' or not, so we wanted to get that outa there.

But I hear ya. Alright. I have another idea that I think will be received better. Give me a couplafew days to get it thought through completely and implemented.

:)

I think maybe more creative titles would work better. "Hey, Android rocks" and "I like this place" don't really scream excitement ;)

I was referring to higher post count = different generic title. Thought the generic titles were linked to the post count.

Phases, sorry for --somehow-- giving your post a title. I moved a bunch of other posts, and this one came along for the ride. Moved it back here, but now it's got my thread title. Sorry! :o

They are, and so are these :)

We'll replace them soon, just very busy atm.

So this ... situation ... was recent ? Thank the Lord! It took me a while to figure out what all those 'titles' were. In fact I even started another thread on the matter -

Admin,

I know I'm new here, but can we have a vote or something BEFORE you change it again ? To replace something .. 'mediocre' with another 'mediocre' title is not going to be any improvement.

I don't mean to be rude, but if nothing else, the current 'custom titles' are just confusing, if nothing else.

In theory, it should work. Go ahead and give it a try. The worst it can do is not process. Do note if you pay via e-check it will take up to 5 business days to process, so do give it some time.
