Is there an app or a way to use google voice to call certain contacts. I know you can have google voice ask you everytime, but I want to be able just to choose contact and based on a setting have either my phone call that contact or google voice call the contact.

Yes, the google voice widget gives you the option to ask you for every call if you want to use it or not.

I want to set up only certain contacts to use google voice with. I do not want google voice to ask me all of the time.

Voice plus in the market will do the trick!

This.

Voice Plus is one of those amazing little apps that fulfills a need perfectly.

I use Google Contacts to manage my contacts, and have a group for all my coworkers. They all get my GV number. Everyone else gets my regular number.

I always thought it was a pain having the extra button press to select "Dial without GV" for most of my phone calls, Voice Plus just takes that out of the equation and connects all of my coworker calls through GV, everything else gets the regular number. It's awesome.

Thank you, this worked brilliantly. I went through old cell phone statements and found all my mobile-to-mobile (which are free without GV but not with) and added them all to a contact group.

Sorry to rehash an old thread but wanted to add my 2 cents in case anyone searched.

I found a different app called Voice Choice that I liked better than Voice Plus. With Voice Choice you can just click through all of your contacts and designate it to be google voice or standard phone number. No need to add to a group.

I found it after trying to use Voice Plus and not really liking their method.

Voice Choice is free but they have a paid app (2.0) that handles SMS and gives an easy option to dial using gv on a case by case basis (by adding a + to the end of the number).

No affiliation. Just a fan of their product.
